About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrols in Spring, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service. This role is both armed and requires driving, offering you the opportunity to utilize your skills in a dynamic environment while upholding our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Level III armed certification is required for Texas.
• Applicants must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe for any unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted activity.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to assist employees, visitors, and/or customers as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with company and client site requirements.
• Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required.
• Carry and maintain proper control of assigned firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and procedures.
