You will support security-related operations by monitoring assigned areas, responding to concerns, documenting activity, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors at a government health and human services location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and public service areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior; verify identification, issue visitor badges, and/or manage sign-in logs as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, medical calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from appropriate responders and communicate updates to site leadership per protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter security-related concerns; check doors, gates, and restricted areas for signs of damage and/or unauthorized entry.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or unusual conditions; maintain accurate documentation and support administrative processes such as key control, package screening, and/or queue management where assigned.
