About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Trenton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying conditions that may require attention.
  • Maintain assigned armed post responsibilities in accordance with site policy and applicable standards, using sound judgment and professionalism during routine duties and/or escalated situations.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
