As a Security Officer Armed Patrol TWIC in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy port and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support daily operations with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience or at least 3 years of security experience.
• Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout operational areas, access points, parking areas, cargo zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and deliveries entering and leaving the location, verifying credentials, following post orders, and reporting discrepancies or suspicious activity.
• Support access control and security-related screening processes while maintaining visible presence and professionalism in a fast-paced port and distribution environment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
