About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Transportation in Washington, DC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Requirements

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A valid guard card or license is preferred.
CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
This is primarily a driving post and is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the parking garage and surrounding transportation location to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Support Allied Universal and client staff by maintaining a visible presence and assisting with security-related inquiries or requests.
Document and report incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
