About The Position

As a Security Officer – Armed Mall Patrol in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer at a bustling retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. Your role includes supporting a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to patrons as needed.
Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for management review.
Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address concerns and uphold site standards.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to any situation requiring intervention, including but not limited to emergency response activities.
