Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor entry points, sensitive areas, and equipment zones, helping to support authorized access and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues.
  • Carry authorized defensive equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements while maintaining professional presence and following all applicable post orders.
