Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a technology and communications location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting follow-up actions in accordance with site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support visitor and delivery processing while following post orders and escalation procedures for restricted or sensitive areas.
  • Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete required reports, logs, and communication with Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, hazards, and/or operational concerns.
