About The Position

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will interact with tenants and visitors, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with integrity and teamwork. This is an armed and driving post, requiring an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license under AU driver policy requirements.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a commercial real estate location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Perform armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access control concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifying emergency services when needed, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate observations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership, and assist with investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.
