As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and reports with calm, professional communication. This role requires an Armed Guard Card or License and offers a team-focused environment where agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity guide every shift.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security experience or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Type at least 40 WPM.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a technology and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with visitor check-in, badging, and directions in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, suspicious activity, and/or requests for assistance from staff.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate timely updates to site contacts, dispatch, and/or Allied Universal leadership.
