About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Overnight Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol key areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication and customer service. This role requires an Armed Guard Card or License and offers a chance to support patients, visitors, and staff while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffs/Pepper Spray/Baton certification is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or policy concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including behavioral disturbances, disorderly persons, and/or requests for assistance from clinical staff.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, screening visitors as required by post orders, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in points and/or departments.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and patrol findings in written reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and/or local emergency services as directed.
