Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related concerns and/or notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit-related facilities, public access areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and support compliance with location rules, post orders, and/or applicable reporting requirements.
• Maintain a visible armed presence, interact professionally with the public, and assist with security-related responses during escalated situations, service disruptions, and/or emergencies.
