About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Incident Response in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a premier performing arts location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests, staff, and performers. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and contribute to smooth venue operations. Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, performers, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a performing arts venue.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of public areas, performance spaces, entrances, loading areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and screen or verify credentials for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with venue personnel and public agencies as needed.
  • Maintain professional readiness and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site requirements.
