As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driving Role in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer in a driving post, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will build trust through strong communication and customer service while supporting a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, control entry and exit activity, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support emergency and routine operations by communicating with site personnel, assisting with incident response, and following established protocols for alarms, escorts, and/or restricted area checks.
