About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Tulsa, OK , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to issues with calm, clear communication. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License and a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and required training, while using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, alarms, and/or medical events, and coordinate with local public service responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, suspicious conditions, and/or policy violations.
  • Complete shift logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
