As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer, you will drive and patrol a retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and deliver exceptional customer service while communicating professionally with visitors and team members. Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately in required reports and logs.
