Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Palmdale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is an armed and driving post requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. Requirements
- Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience OR a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Have 5+ years of security experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at an aerospace and defense location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production and office areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns through the appropriate channels.
- Control access by checking identification, verifying authorization, and supporting visitor management processes in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, access control, radios, and alarm panels, completing reports and shift logs with accurate, timely details.
