About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Three or more years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense industry location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and support site rules related to controlled entry, vehicle activity, and sensitive work areas.
  • Support emergency protocols, assist with evacuations and/or shelter procedures when needed, and communicate clearly with site contacts and first responders during security-related events.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
