As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Role in Burgaw, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site leadership and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious behavior, and other security-related concerns.
  • Support controlled movement activities, enforce post orders and location rules, and complete required reports, logs, and other records related to daily operations and incident response.
