Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and document security-related events, observations, and incidents in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support emergency and utility service continuity responses by communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership during outages, hazards, or other site-related concerns.
