About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
  • Perform access control and screening-related duties for employees, visitors, and deliveries, verifying authorization and following post orders for restricted or sensitive areas.
  • Carry authorized equipment, including assigned armed post gear, in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal guidelines while maintaining professionalism during public interactions.
