About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Unit in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DCJS license for Virginia roles only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or access authorization, and follow post orders for prohibited items, screening processes, and visitor control.
  • Support Allied Universal protocols by maintaining a professional presence, completing required reports, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
