About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Deterrence Security Clearance in Huntsville, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following applicable armed-post protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, restricted areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
Prepare clear reports and promptly communicate security-related concerns, incidents, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
