Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Document patrol activities, incidents, and unusual observations in required reports and promptly communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
