As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and address visitor, staff, and clergy concerns in a professional manner consistent with location protocols.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and/or security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and local authorities when needed.
