As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach while bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset to every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support visitor and employee screening procedures in accordance with post orders and client policies.
  • Maintain a professional presence while handling routine inquiries, assisting with directions, and supporting the secure movement of people and/or assets throughout the location.
