As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to changing site needs. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card or License.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering restricted or operational areas.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.
