Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, remaining prepared to work in varied conditions common to a medical campus environment.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior, and follow post orders related to an armed patrol assignment.
• Support healthcare operations by reporting hazards, unusual activity, and/or policy violations, while maintaining professionalism and respectful interactions during routine duties and emergency situations.
