As an Armed Officer at a cultural institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Possess access control and/or badge experience preferred.
Possess customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related issues.
Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor movement, and assisting with screening procedures according to site instructions.
Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a professional presence, handling security-related communications, and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when needed.
