Requirements

  • An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Baton Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Screen visitors, patients, staff, and/or vendors at designated entry points by verifying identification, following access procedures, and directing individuals to the proper department or location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas for policy compliance, help to deter unauthorized access, and report concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter when required, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by location.
