Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government law enforcement location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site law enforcement personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken, following site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
