Requirements

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to donors, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor and personnel activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.
