Requirements

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report unusual conditions according to site-specific procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements, and complete accurate incident and activity reports.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
