Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience and/or criminal justice degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess an armed guard card is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, check visitor and vendor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community grounds, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate clearly with residents, management, and emergency responders while providing professional assistance and following established reporting procedures.
