Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and applicable laws.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report security-related concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation related to patrols, observations, and response activities.
