As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Unit in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post where professionalism, strong communication, and customer service matter daily. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures, access screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen entrants, personal property, and restricted items in accordance with post orders and established procedures, and report concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate authorities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed, professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and documentation related to incidents, screening activity, patrol observations, and other security-related duties.
