You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Be able to lift more than 20 lbs, preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government airport location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout terminals, parking areas, and perimeter zones, monitoring for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations and local authorities as needed.
Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and enforcing posted rules and regulations in accordance with site requirements.
Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity reports, and handle and/or maintain assigned equipment in accordance with training and policy.
