About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Bradenton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and enhance security-related presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of activity throughout the location.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary during incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Operate communication devices and security-related equipment in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings to identify potential security-related concerns or hazards.
  • Follow all company protocols and guidelines as an Allied Universal representative while on duty.
