As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will document activity, support site procedures, and deliver customer service while working as part of a team. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and policies at a government location, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting hazards and/or maintenance concerns for reporting.
  • Control access through security-related screening and identification checks as assigned, monitoring for prohibited items and/or restricted-area violations in accordance with site policy.
  • Operate security-related equipment such as radios, CCTV, access control systems, and alarm panels, and complete accurate written reports, logs, and incident documentation.
