About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. You will complete routine rounds, document activity, and support staff and visitors with professional customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, checking for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and policy violations.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and authorization, screening visitors and vendors, and directing individuals to designated areas per site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, support investigations by preserving observations and available evidence, and participate in briefings, inspections, and required training for armed post duties.
