As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, monitor activity, and respond to alarms and concerns with calm professionalism. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site staff and visitors, and deliver customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative approach. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or license.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas including lobbies, parking areas, ATM areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor alarms, access points, and video surveillance systems where assigned, and control entry and exit in accordance with post orders and client requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency services when required.
- Complete detailed written reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
