Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Act 235 qualification is required in Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and unusual activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or badges, and document security-related concerns, suspicious activity, and incident details in required reports.
  • Support access control, vehicle inspections, and coordination with site leadership and/or public emergency responders during routine operations and elevated situations.
