As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol in Norristown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant security experience.
  • Candidates applying for positions in Pennsylvania must have completed the Act 235 qualification.
  • Candidates must demonstrate experience with access control systems and badge management.
  • Candidates should possess basic computer skills and be comfortable using a computer or tablet for daily tasks.
  • Candidates must have prior customer service experience.
  • Candidates should be physically capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds as part of their job responsibilities.
  • Candidates applying for positions that require the use of firearms must possess a valid firearms permit.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and communications operations location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor activity, and report security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Maintain required armed-post qualifications and equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and company and site policies.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
