Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • A valid armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public officials as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, and/or movement within the location, verifying credentials, screening access, and reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions.
  • Support emergency and incident response by assisting with de-escalation, maintaining a visible presence, and following post orders and Allied Universal procedures during medical, fire, and/or other security-related events.
