About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in OWEGO, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and authorized contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Verify credentials and authorization for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries entering controlled areas, maintaining accurate security-related logs and documentation.
• Maintain professional readiness and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, site procedures, and training requirements.
