You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns while providing clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify authorization as required, and coordinate with site representatives and/or law enforcement when issues arise.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document security-related activities, and communicate updates through reports, logs, and radio and/or phone communications.
