As a Security Guard - Armed Mobile Driver Patrol in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will complete routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while assisting tenants, visitors, and staff with strong communication and customer service. This is an armed, driving post requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, and identify maintenance hazards, suspicious conditions, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including activating notifications, coordinating with property management and/or public responders, and documenting actions taken.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor processes, and supporting after-hours locking and/or unlocking requests as directed by site procedures.
• Carry and maintain assigned duty gear in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies, including proper handling, storage, and reporting of any security-related equipment issues.
