As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will support site operations through routine patrols, reporting, and teamwork, bringing integrity, reliability, and innovation to every shift while putting people first.

Requirements

• Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization, and manage vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public responders as directed.
• Complete timely reports and daily activity logs, document incidents and follow-up actions, and maintain required training and readiness for issued equipment in line with Allied Universal policies.
