As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will communicate clearly with site contacts, document observations, and respond to situations with calm professionalism, bringing an agile, reliable, innovative approach that puts people first and acts with integrity. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.85 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site personnel and public emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, operational areas, and perimeter routes to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Control access at gates, checkpoints, and/or key facility entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and contractor activity, and maintaining required logs.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications systems; document security-related activities and incidents in written reports; and follow Allied Universal and site requirements for firearms handling and post orders.
