Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location as an armed patrol officer, helping to create a welcoming environment through high-visibility rounds, quick response to incidents, and professional customer communication. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle to cover the property and support operations as needed. Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hold Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to customers, associates, and/or visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or public services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales floors, stock areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, disturbances, and/or other unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and delivery areas, verifying credentials and/or authorizations when required and reporting irregularities according to post orders.
  • Operate security-related equipment such as radios, CCTV, and/or access control systems, and complete reports on patrols, incidents, and other required activities.
